Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities


  • Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor vital signs and changes in the child's condition.
  • Develop and implement individualized pediatric care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide medication administration, treatments, and other skilled nursing interventions as ordered.
  • Provide care for pediatric patients with complex medical needs, including G-tubes, feeding pumps, tracheostomies, ventilators, and other medical equipment, when applicable.
  • Monitor and provide appropriate care for pediatric patients with feeding tubes and other specialized medical needs.
  • Educate and support parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding the child's care plan and medical needs.
  • Communicate changes in the patient's condition promptly to the physician, family, and BrightStar Care clinical team.
  • Accurately document all assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses.
  • Follow all applicable state and federal regulations, physician orders, and BrightStar Care policies and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, family-centered and age-appropriate care.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in the patient's condition and emergency situations.
