Are you an experienced healthcare operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? BrightStar Care of Greater Waukesha & Lake Country is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure service excellence, and lead a growing organization dedicated to providing high-quality home care throughout Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

As the Branch Manager, you will manage the agency's financial performance, oversee scheduling and service delivery, ensure compliance and accreditation, handle personnel matters, and collaborate closely with our HR Manager and Director of Nursing to ensure seamless operations and exceptional client care.

Branch Manager Benefits

Branch Manager Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Establishes financial goals, creates budgets, and develops business plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Oversees branch financial health, including Accounts Receivable (A/R) collections, aging management, and timely follow-up
  • Manages Accounts Payable (A/P) to ensure accurate, timely vendor payment and expense control
  • Monitors performance metrics on a weekly basis and implements corrective actions to improve efficiency and performance
  • Leads daily standup meetings and weekly Level 10 (L10) leadership meetings

Payroll, Billing & Administration

  • Processes payroll and billing on a weekly basis with accuracy and timeliness using proprietary systems and approved vendor tools
  • Ensures proper coding, visit verification, and documentation prior to billing
  • Oversees authorization management, including maintaining up-to-date authorizations for all clients and services
  • Proactively secures reauthorizations to prevent service interruptions and ensure continuity of care

Scheduling & Service Delivery

  • Collaborates with the HR Manager to maintain adequate staffing levels based on client needs
  • Schedules staff for new and existing client engagements and fills open shifts as needed to ensure continuity of care
  • Oversees service standards and ensures timely follow-through on client requests, concerns, and escalations

Compliance, Accreditation & Contract Management

  • Maintains the employee licensing and certification database to ensure full compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Ensures all operations meet Joint Commission accreditation standards at the direction of the Director of Nursing
  • Interprets and administers national contracts; ensures fulfillment of contract requirements within assigned territories

Personnel Leadership

  • Handles personnel issues directly with professionalism and appropriate discretion
  • Partners with the HR Manager on employee relations, staffing needs, performance coaching, and corrective action as needed
  • Ensures new operational policies, procedures, and performance expectations are implemented consistently across the team

Customer Experience & Client Relations

  • Oversees Schedulers, Intake Coordinator, Billing Administrator, and Sales Representatives to ensure exceptional satisfaction from clients and referral partners
  • Ensures service recovery, retention strategies, and proactive communication are consistently executed.

Branch Manager Requirements

Required

  • 3+ years of experience managing a healthcare office, home care branch, home health agency, CBRF, assisted living, or similar regulated environment
  • 2+ years managing staff, scheduling, or service delivery operations
  • Experience with payroll, billing, or financial operations
  • Strong understanding of compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance
  • Ability to work in-person at our Pewaukee, WI office

Preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Experience supervising Caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, RNs, or home care field staff
  • Experience with major payroll systems like ADP
