BrightStar Care of Westfield & Summit is seeking an experienced, motivated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Director of Nursing (DON) role, to lead our clinical home care team.

What You’ll Do As DON/Clinical Nurse Manager:

Clinical Leadership

• Oversee all personal care, skilled nursing services and clinical operations
• Maintain a hands-on clinical leadership presence by assisting with patient visits and field support as needed
• Conduct assessments, supervisory visits, and clinical reviews
• Support complex cases including wound care and infusion therapy
• Ensure compliance with New Jersey Board of Nursing, Division of Consumer Affairs, NJ home care regulations, Joint Commission standards, and BrightStar Care policies and procedures
• Lead clinical audits, documentation reviews, and survey preparedness activities
• Maintain high standards for patient outcomes and documentation

Team Leadership

• Mentor, and supervise CHHAs, LPNs and Registered Nurses (RNs) and clinical staff
• Oversee the overall clinical operation, coordination of care, documentation standards, compliance, scheduling oversight, and interdisciplinary communication
• Lead in-services, training, and clinical development
• Foster a positive, supportive clinical culture

Growth & Business Development:

• Collaborate with ownership on expanding skilled nursing services
• Help develop new clinical programs
• Build relationships with referral sources

Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BSN required (MSN preferred)
• 3+ years of leadership experience in home care, home health, or post-acute care
• Experience with wound care, infusion therapy, or complex skilled nursing preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of NJ home care regulations and compliance
• Home care leadership experience preferred. We also encourage experienced Clinical Managers, Assistant Directors of Nursing, Home Health Supervisors, Hospice Nurse Managers, and skilled nursing leaders looking to transition into home care to apply

·Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary $104,000
• Signing bonus $5,000 -one half in 90 days, one half in twelve months
• Performance bonus up to 15% of based salary
